kiss each other clean
a/n: Another Pacific Rim crossover because it truly is the best. Reader/Steve/Bucky with a side of Clint/Nat. I am writing comic Clint bc I love him most. Everyone is hot and sad and potentially poly. I am assuming this because of Reasons. Prompt is panic attack, "if only we could hold on" 1.8k words.

Circumventing the Apocalypse makes Atlases.
Clint jokes that your Jaeger—Atlas Ronin—must have sired every Ranger in the Dome. Her namesake, after all, is both a reminder of the weight you carry and the outcome if you’re too weak to lift. The world splitting in half. Monsters streaming out.
Many Rangers lift their weight with so much grace and poise they could be trying out for pageants.
Not you, though. You’re a real crapbag when it comes to keeping your cool. You say that if you’re ever graceful about someone’s knife to your throat, you might as well be eating it. You’ve never tried to be any other way because it keeps you fighting, keeps you alive.
So when Ronin touches back down in the hangar with so much damage that you can hear her joints screech, hear Clint gurgling blood in your head, you’re worse than ever.
The medical staff refuse it when you limp alongside the gurney. They want you in a bed, hooked up to an IV and not plodding after Clint—not threatening to amputate a doctor if they touch him wrong.
But you tell them to fuck off, bursting through the swinging doors of the ICU unit, barely another word out before Barnes is wrestling you back, Rogers on his other side with his brow scrunched.
“Quit it,” Barnes hisses. “You’re making a goddamn scene.”
“Did you see him?” You jerk against them, your shoulder threatening to dislocate. “He’s got brain damage— he seized!” You swipe at Barnes, knee Rogers the side, but they’ve had enough experience handling you that they just take it in silence.
You’re a terror, according to Bucky, but you’re the only one who can make any sense of Clint when he’s drifting. And when Atlas is in play, she’s so close to unstoppable, Pentecost would personally punch out a senator before they shut your Jaeger down.
They need you. And maybe you abuse that power too much as you thrash around again, take your teeth to Bucky’s shoulder. Sometimes when you return to the hangar you’re still too worked up, can’t quite figure out how to leave the fight behind.
It’s much worse when Clint’s been hurt because you defend him how Steve defends Bucky— but Steve’s got some sense out of the field and you can only see red after drops.
They’ve never tried to make you be otherwise, though. It’s easy to see that 6’4” Clint Barton—who can shoot with immaculate precision, who’s more clever than anyone gives him credit for—has been beaten down so badly by something that he walks with a perpetual slump, makes jokes at his own expense like it’s the only way people will find him deserving of their effort. If they can punch him, at least he’s useful.
Steve had to coach that out of Bucky. After the war, he was always shrinking himself, and it killed Steve to witness.
Clint’s harder to reach. You’re soft on him, hard on him, begged and pleaded and threatened him, but he’s mulish and self-loathing. And in the end, all you could do was hold on, drift alongside him, keep him going one step into the future at a time.
You slacken, the adrenaline ebbing away and leaving you a boneless mess. Your face is puffy, eyes hot and wet with tears, gasping for air and digging your nails into your fists.
Steve keeps propping you up, holding you tight by the waist and leading you down the hall. “Come on,” he urges, “that’s enough.”
They take you back to your room, give you water and space and stick to the walls. Bucky crosses his arms, frowning. “You got me good.” He touches his chin to his shoulder where the indents of your teeth still remain on the cotton shirt.
You cover your eyes, the light too bright, the room too much, and manage, “You were in my way.”
“What’s not in your way?”
You shoot Bucky a hateful look and he only rolls his eyes.
“Clint Barton’s not the only person in the world. And he’s not a kid, either. Give him more credit.”
Your chin trembles. “If he dies, he’ll get what he wants.” You glare, bitterly disclaiming, “We’re all gonna fucking die, but if he dies—”
“Stop,” Steve says firmly.
You look away.
You’re not a dog, but you’ve been trained to follow commands for longer than you’d like to admit. And for as much honor as carrying the world can get you, you’re still following orders one way or another.
If you’re the only one who can make a lick of sense out of Clint, Steve’s the only one who can pull you in when you’re spinning off course. Bucky’s the only one who can keep Steve grounded when he’s tearing through the Shatterdome on a warpath to dismantle the Corps one dignitary at a time.
And the strings animating all of you are Pentecost, who owns some part of everyone for better or for worse.
“Natasha will be there when he wakes up.” He raises one eyebrow as if asking you to really make him explain the situation anymore. “He’s more than fine.”
You begin to argue, but Steve cuts his eyes to yours and you resign to rest your elbows on your knees, leaned over in a pathetic lump at the edge of the bed.
You feel sick to your stomach, sick to your bones. You love Natasha for being able to complete the facet of Clint you can’t and don’t want to— and yet still— want to.
“If you could be,” you start, swallowing the same lump that forms in your throat every time, “enough—” and the hiccups that threaten—the gasping fit that always takes over, whites out your vision--
“Get rid of that,” Steve says.
You put your face in your hands. You can kill a primordial beast. You can tear it to shreds and this is the thing that takes you apart.
Steve understands your pain. He used to want to be enough. Used to want to be the only person Bucky ever needed because didn’t that just make perfect sense? They were each other’s brains. Past and present and future and why would Steve let anyone else mishandle Buck? Get too close to him, trigger him into self-immolation? Steve knew all of Bucky’s haunted foxholes, all of his deepest secrets. Anytime Bucky wanted or needed, he could excavate or ignore with Steve. Why entrust him to anyone else?
But Steve learned that asking why he wasn’t enough was as helpful as decrypting alien speech. There was no language for it that he understood. He just didn’t know. But others could do it, and others could pick up what he couldn’t. And in the end, if Bucky needed another shitshow to love more than himself because it’s just wired in him or something, Steve wasn’t going to keep him from that.
Steve felt lucky enough that Bucky could love one shitshow in the first place.
Bucky pats his thighs and you grudgingly crawl into him, wilting on his chest. And this is where everything slots into place, all the things Steve can’t do, all the things Bucky is naturally good at. He can be terse and serious, make his impact known in a couple of phrases, but Bucky could just open his arms and handle the rest.
The three of you quiet, settling in.
“Sorry,” you offer.
Bucky gives Steve a grin, eyes crinkling at the corners. “Whatd’ya think Tasha’ll do when Barton tries to run outta the med bay? Punch him back down?”
Steve hums, “You got the wrong person.”
“Yeah,” Bucky agrees, “Guess that’s you, huh?”
You put your hand over his face in a weak slap.
“She’ll be peeling an apple,” Steve says, “And he’ll start getting squirrely.”
“And she’ll just point it at him.”
“That’s it.”
Bucky taps the top of your head. “Let’s go talk to her. You forget you like someone if you don’t see them for a while. You need to remember that you like Nat.”
“I do remember.”
“Kissing her on the mouth when you’re drunk doesn’t count.”
Steve sighs from inside of his bones. It truly is astonishing how you and Clint can be the most effective killers inside of a Jaeger but take you out of one and you’re two college fratboys at best.
“Why do you think she chose Banner? I mean, Clint, you know? She could have picked Clint.”
Bucky touches your chin, tilts your face up to his, quiet and serious. “Do you think Natasha wants Clint in her head? Do you think it would be good for him? Would it be good for you to be in mine? Ask yourself honestly if it would be your first choice to be in mine.”
And Steve, more straightforwardly, “Do you want war?”
No, you don’t.
“Yeah, yeah,” you say. “You’re always right, whatever.”
Bucky wipes a dried tear from the corner of your eye, “Don’t forget it.”
-
Clint’s unconscious when you knock. As predicted, Natasha’s by his bed, reading a book with two apples neatly peeled and sliced.
“Hi,” she says, looking up, smiling sweet and small, and sly.
“Hi,” you reply, staring at your shoes, “Thanks for being here.”
“Mhm. Sit?”
You don’t know why you clam up around her. Clint would cut off his own hands if Natasha needed a new pair, and it’s a funny little thing, the way you’re all connected. Clint can’t seem to do anything but annoy Bucky, yet fixes his collar and starts calling everyone ‘sir’ if he hears Steve down the hall.
“You don’t have to stay, you know,” you say dumbly.
“I know.” She smiles again and looks at you, really looks, her eyes big and bright and you get a little lost in them. “He woke up earlier and said he can’t die yet because he didn’t want you to be mad at him. Or you might die out of spite so you can kill him ‘extra dead’. His words.”
And sometimes you're not sure with her—if she says things because they’re true, or if she says them because they’re true enough, and what matters more is you just need to hear them.
She reaches out for your hand, squeezing it, and it takes just about everything for you not to burst into tears again. You can feel her relaxing, ready to let go, but you hold on, and she smiles again. That beautiful, otherworldly smile that almost reads your mind, and suddenly you understand why Clint would cut off his hands for her.
“Thanks,” you say.
Natasha offers you an apple, glancing to the door where Steve and Bucky stand. They're connected, too. In a way you're not, in a way only they know, but you don't seem to mind it anymore.
“Yeah,” she says, and this time you know she means it. “Anytime.”

It gets spicy in this part.
Bucky’s knuckles collide with Wade’s jaw, sending him crashing back, into one of his own. TC yanks me back, putting himself between me and the issue.
Wade comes swinging back, and it’s an instant fight. Steve moves to get between, one of Wade’s guys swings on him.
“Oh fuck this.” Clint steps in, swinging first, cracking a guy in the jaw.
Someone’s girl jumps on Steve’s back, clawing at him.
Blinking, Becca has the girl by the hair, dragging her to the ground, stomping on her. Bobbi winds up, decking another girl coming up on Becca’s back. One on two on Peter, TC jumps in, dropping a guy. A dark haired girl, rushes at Buck, still trading blows with Wade.
Pulling my shoulders up, elbow back, hitting her out of the blue from the side. She falls into someone else, before hitting the floor. Clint shoves his guy, he stumbles, winding up again, I follow through, nailing him in the jaw, his head snaps to the side, body falling to the floor.
The girl takes Bobbi to the floor, grabbing a hold of her hair, yanking her back, smashing my knee into the side of her head, shoving her off Bobbi. She looks at me a little shocked. Putting my hand out, pulling her off the floor.
“Steve.” She blinks wide eyes. Glancing over, the guy has Steve twisted up. His arm behind his back, trapped. Shaking my hand out, storming towards him. Deep wind up, from below, snapping his head back, teeth on teeth, sending him crashing with an uppercut.
Security rushes in, breaking up the fight.
Arms wrap around me, yanking me up off my feet.
“Hey!” It’s a yelp from me.
The fight stops instantly.
“Don’t touch her!”
“Put her down!”
“Hands off!”
He doesn’t put me down but backs up a few steps.
“Buddy unless you want to be buried six feet under, while my daddy and husband listen to you scream for your mother, I’d put me the fuck down now.” I warn him through my teeth.
“Now.” Bucky growls.
The body holding me, suddenly jerks, dropping me. Landing on my feet stumbling, Becca grabs me keeping me up right. Looking back, he’s laid out on the floor, Clint standing over him.
“Well they did warn you.” Barney walks up on the scene, looking at his guy on the floor.
“Think your guys need a reminder.” Clint spits. Barney nods, looking around.
“Problem?” He chuckles.
A red headed version of Clint. Which only makes me confused, how one is a red head and the other a dirty blonde. But they’re both hot headed, love a good fight, and couldn’t follow the law if they were paid.
“He tried touching her.” Bucky lifts his chin, a small cut in the edge of his lip, a bruising cheek, mainly just rumbled. Barney cuts his eyes to Wade. Nose bleeding, busted lip, swelling eye, the losing end of Bucky’s fist.
“We don’t touch the Boss around here.” He warns in a snarl.
“She’s not the boss yet.” Wade smirks at Barney.
The guys around us, exchange a look.
“That make your dick limp, Wade?” I sass. “Knowing you only wanted a wife, you didn’t think I could handle being in charge.” Lifting my brow at him.
He smirks at me. Eyes dragging down the length of me, slowly.
“Did you not learn?” Bucky suddenly forehead to forehead with Wade. “She’s mine. You lost out. Swallow that, live with it. Accept it, bitch.” He snarks in Wade’s face.
“Well you won’t have her like I did till you’re married.” Wade laughs, Bucky jerks back confused. My eyes connect with Barney’s, he blinks.
Green light.
Becca pushes Buck back, bone on bone, skin breaking, Wade hits the floor.
“Fuck,” Barney drags it out.
“Imagine what their kids will get.” Clint grins.
“Bitch!” The dark hair girl moves, really jerks forward. Bobbi cracks her right in the nose, dropping her to the floor as well.
I look from the girl to Bobbi. “You’re so hot.” I grin. Bobbi blushes, tucking a strand of hair back.
“No, no.” Clint shakes a finger at me, pulling Bobbi away from me.
“I’d make a threesome joke, but I think Buck’s going to have a stroke.” I cut my eyes to Bucky who is seething staring at Wade.
Winter blue eyes snap over to me, my insides cringe.
“He’s lying.” Peter steps up beside me. Bucky doesn’t spare him a look.
“Outside, now.” He snarls at me.
Nodding, I look at Peter. “Daddy’s mad.” I mutter.
“Oh god!” Peter groans. “Why are you this fucked up?” He whines.
“Not the time to be cute.” Bucky growls behind me.
Glancing back at him, I grin. “I’m always cute, Boss Man.” Shrugging, looking forward again. I can almost faintly hear him chuckling.
“What the fuck did he mean back there?” Bucky demands when we reach the side of the warehouse. Turning to face him, he’s seething still.
“James, you know he’s lying.” Throwing my hand up. “I can’t fake being a virgin with you!” Reminding him.
His jaw works, he’s not sold.
“The night at the party.” Sighing, his eyes meet mine. “The one when the girls beat up Sina.” I nod. He only tips his chin telling me he knows what I’m talking about. “How that started out, the heaviness. That was all it was with him. Nothing more.” I shrug when he makes no other movement or indication he believes me.
He’s suddenly crowding me, backing me into the wall of the warehouse. Body pushed up against mine, thick fingers and his warm palm, greet my neck. Sending a thrill through me, heat spiking my blood instantly.
“Tell me.” His voice gravelly between the two of us.
“Just you, Boss man.” I whisper up at him.
Blue eyes, darken, dangerous, possessive. “I’ve been all your first.”
“Sexually.” I smirk, slipping my hands up his chest slowly.
His fingers flex at my sass, forcing a small gasp from me. He leans in closer, as if he were to kiss me, he waits. Hovering there, watching me. My fingers digging into his shirt, holding on to him.
“I’m the only one that’s been inside you.”
Pushing into his hand on my neck, I brush the tip of my tongue up his lips. “And will be the only one.” I settle back, smirking at him.
“You ruined me for any other bitch.” He chuckles darkly.
Dragging my tongue down my top lip, I smirk at him. “I warned you, Boss Man.”
He chuckles, nodding. “Yeah, you fucking did, baby girl.” Dropping his mouth against mine.

Four months later…
Steve walked down to the cells, lost in thought. He looked tired, deep in his emotions. Dressed in all black as he had been for months, he brought down a small package with him, a gift for an old friend.  As he walked through the empty cells, he thought back through his life.  How one person changed his life.  As he approached the final cell, he sighed.  “Hello Sharon.”
“Steve!  I didn’t think you would visit me.”  Sharon Carter looked dirty, tired, her blonde hair dull and flat.  She had been in the cell for four months, stood trial and found guilty of treason and attempted murder.  She had planned Belle’s demise and now she would pay for it tomorrow with her life.
Beck had left details of his plans and the players, all but sealing their fate when they were captured. It was the little solace that Steve found that justice had somewhat been served.  This was the final piece.  This person, not even a woman, had ended his hopes of a peaceful life. “I brought you something.”
“A present for my execution. How curious.” Sharon looked at the man she loved with sorrow.  He was in pain, mourning.  “I could help you feel good,” she said with a sly smile.
“Only my wife could do that,” Steve snarled at her.  “You are getting what you deserve.”
“I wouldn’t have done it if I knew she was pregnant Steve.”
“You’re a liar! You wanted Belle gone!”
“I loved you!”
“And I hate you,” he growled.  He threw the box through the slot in the glass.
“What is it?”
“Open it and see.” He stood in front of her, arms crossed.
Sharon opened the box carefully.  She looked in saw a blue cloth. She pulled it out.  It was a blue onesie.  A tear formed in her eye when she spotted the pink color in the box.  Another onesie.  “Steve, I am…”
“Save it!” Steve thought back to the day his life was turned upside down…
Tumblr media
He jumped onto the jet with Belle and he and Bucky immediately started pressure on her as Tony flew, Wanda started IVs.  Peter, Nat, Sam and Clint stayed behind to gather intel and clear the scene.  As soon as the gauze was in place, Steve held Belle’s hand and the other on her belly.  “Please baby, please, don’t leave me,” he wept.
“Two minutes Cap,” Tony called out.  “Where is she shot?”
“The abdomen,” Bucky called back. “Its slowing but I don’t know about…” he trailed off.
“I love you,” Steve whispered to Belle, kissing her knuckles.  “I need you.  I need our family, baby please, just stay alive.”
Tony landed the jet at the hospital and Steve picked up Belle and ran her in.  “Please help, my wife, she’s pregnant and she’s been shot. Please.”  The doctors and nurses ran forward with a gurney and started to run her back.  Steve made to follow but a nurse stopped him.
“We need to work on your wife.  Please wait here.”
“Please, just do whatever you need to save them.”
“We’ll do everything we can.” She turned to run after the gurney and Steve felt Bucky and Tony’s hands on his shoulders. His shoulders shagged and he began to sob.  The guys moved him to the chairs to wait.  Steve became quiet, staring at a spot on the floor.  Time felt like it was moving so slow.  The rest of the team showed up, sitting around. Tony began to pace as Pepper brought in coffee and snacks.
“Captain Rogers?”
Steve’s head snapped up to look at a tired looking doctor. He stood up with Bucky right next to him.  “Belle?”
“Mrs. Rogers lost a significant amount of blood.  The bullet entered her side and nicked her liver.  We stopped the bleeding but luckily the liver is regenerative, and she will make a full recovery.”  Bucky sagged and clapped his back.  The rest of the team exhaled but Steve needed one more piece of information.
“And the baby?”
“Your babies are perfect.  The amniotic sac was not affected at all since she is only eight or so weeks pregnant.”
Steve looked at the doctor, his face shocked.  “Babies?”
“Oh.” The doctor looked embarrassed.  “I assumed you were aware.  Yes, twins. Your wife is carrying twins. As I said, she’s between eight to nine weeks.  They have strong heartbeats and are perfect for their age.” The doctor smiles.  “She is still unconscious after the emergency surgery but if you would like to see her, I can take you up?”
“Yes, yes please.”  Steve headed to follow the doctor but turned.  “Buck?”
“Yeah, I’m right behind you.”
Steve looked at the team.  “Thank you, guys.”
“We’ll be here Steve,” Sam said.  The team nodded and Steve and Bucky followed the doctor.
“Captain, because of the blood loss it may take some time for Mrs. Rogers to come around.  We checked for any injuries to her head to be sure, but we didn’t see any.  Her body may just need time to recover from the shock. We have her hooked up to monitors and two fetal monitors, one for each baby so don’t be alarms by the amount of equipment.”
“But she’ll be ok?”
“Yes, like I stated, we expect her to make a full recovery. My recommendation is to relax, hold her hand and talk to her. We’ll keep checking on her until she is awake and discharged.”
“Thank you doctor.”
“Ok, right in here.”  He pointed to a door and Steve walked in.  Belle looked smaller than normal in the bed.  She skin was pale, a startling contrast to her black hair. She looked peaceful except for the noises of the monitors.  But what truly shocked him with the twin heartbeats coming from the fetal monitors.
Steve froze.  The sounds stunned him.  His babies, his children, were real and alive inside of their momma. Bucky nudged him forward and Steve took shaky steps towards the bed.  He pulled a chair close and took Belle’s hand.  “I’m here, sweet pea.”  He kissed it gently.  “We’re all here waiting for you to wake up. I love you. I love you all so much and you are going to be so surprise.”
Bucky came to the other side.  “Hey sweetheart. You rest ok.  You’re growing my nieces or nephews.”
“God Buck. Two of them.”
“I know punk. I can’t believe it.”
Steve kept vigil at Belle’s bedside for the next twenty-four hours. Her heartbeat got stronger with time. The team rotated in with Steve with Nat and Bucky finally convincing him to change out of his suit and shower in the ensuite. As the warm water ran over his body, Steve took the moment lose himself in his feelings. He almost lost her. He almost ruined the best thing in his life.  He almost lost his children. He grew angry, thinking of the people who tried to take her away.  He climbed out of the shower and dressed.  He walked out to see Sam and Bucky sitting by Belle’s head.  “Any updates?”
“Vision has Sharon in a cell in the tower.  I took all we found there for FRIDAY to analyze,” Sam replied.
“They also have Lila there as well,” Bucky said with a hard voice. “Tony and Nat will begin their interrogation of her within the hour.”
“Bucky, I’m sorry about Lila.”
“Don’t be.  She used me and my love for her to take my best friend. I can’t forgive that.”
Steve pulled Bucky in for a hug and held his best friend as he finally let some emotion shows. They talked quietly, with Steve never letting go of Belle’s hand.  A couple of hours later, Steve was leaning against the bed when he felt a movement in his hand. He blinked his eyes open and looked at Belle.  Her violet eyes open, still struggling but open. “Hi.”
Tumblr media
He cuts Sharon off. “Jealous should be the word that comes out of your mouth.” Steve smirked at her.  “Belle is having twins. My boy and my girl.” He leaned forward to the glass.  “What? You think she died in that attack?”
Sharon blinked. They never mentioned Belle’s status during the trial.  She just assumed she was dead. Sharon began screaming in rage, slamming her fist to the unbreakable glass. “You son of a bitch!”
“I won’t be in the gallery tomorrow, Sharon. Enjoy death.”  Steve walked out of the cells, the sounds of Sharon’s screams fading with every step.
“Was that necessary amore mio?”
Steve spun to see Belle standing next to the doorway to the cells. “After what she tried to do to you and my children, absolutely.”  Steve placed his hand over Belle’s six-month bump.  “How are they today?”
“Just flutters.  Should feel them any day.”  Belle smiled up at her husband.
“I can’t wait. Wanna feel my princess and my boy.
Belle smiled. “I wanna feel them too.”
Tumblr media
“Hi sweet pea.”  He leaned forward to press his forehead to hers and then placed a gentle kiss to her lips. “I’m so happy you’re awake my love.”  He kissed her forehead and pulled back to look at her.
“What happened?”
“When you elbowed Beck, the gun went off and you were shot.  It was a through and through, but it nicked your liver.  You’re gonna be fine.”
Belle nodded in understanding but suddenly gasped and sat up.  “The baby?”
“Shh. Easy love. Everything is ok.  They are ok.  The babies are perfectly healthy and safe.”
“Babies?  What do you mean babies?”  Belle reached for her stomach.  Steve laid his hand on top of hers.
“Lay back Belle.  Its ok”. He laid her down and sat on the edge of the bed.  “You are pregnant with twins, my love.  They checked when they took you to surgery.”
“Twins?  Oh my god, twins!”
Steve lifted her hand and kissed her palmed and then placed her small hand on his face. The beard tickled her hand, and she smiled but Steve frowned. “I’m so sorry Belle.”
“Baby…”
“No let me finish.  I am so sorry for keeping the truth from you.  I’m sorry for lying.  I am so sorry that I put you here. Please don’t leave me.” Belle felt a few tears escape her eyes.  Steve cupped her face and used his thumb to clear the tears. “Please don’t cry love. Please, I am so…”
“I’m sorry too,” she blurted out.  “I’m sorry I ran.  I’m sorry I didn’t listen. Please don’t hate me.”
Steve climbed into bed with her as she clung to his shirt and cried. “I could never hate you.  You saved me from a life of solitude and darkness.  You brought color back into my life.  And all at once…
You were the one I was waiting for,” she finished. “I love you.”
“I love you. My baby momma.”
Tumblr media
Belle spent the day of the execution in the nursery with Nat, Wanda, MJ and Hope, planning out the room. Mrs. Lewis was taking notes with Belle’s new assistant, Ava.  “I think we need to put the cribs here,” Belle pointed, “and the changing table and dresser here.  I would like to have twin rocking chairs because I know Steve will want to be in here with me when he can.”
“Of course, Mrs. Rogers,” Ava said as she consulted measurements with Mrs. Lewis.
“Oh Ava, before I forget, we have a dinner with the alumni association on Friday and I will need to attend with Steve. Bucky and Clint will also be attended but Clint is bringing Laura, so I need you to attend with Bucky.”
“S-sure,” Ava stuttered, a flash of pink on her cheeks as she looked down at her tablet.  Belle noticed the flush but did not give it any attention but filing it for future use.
“We need to make sure you have a formal dress, Ava.  So, we have a fitting at Vera Wang tomorrow.” She looked over the girl.  She was a strawberry blonde with green eyes. Petite but curvy. “Red, I think,” she said.
“Oh, Mrs. Rogers…”
“Nope, its Belle.”  She turned to Mrs. Lewis.  “Please make sure that Marco and Marie know it’s for three ladies.  Laura will be joining us unless of course Nat and Wanda are joining us as well.”
“We can make an afternoon of it,” Nat said, understanding what she was trying to do with Ava and Bucky.
“Perfect.” Belle clapped with glee until a look of shock crossed her face.  Her hand flew to her belly.
“Belle?” Wanda looked at her.  Her eyes flashed red for a moment.  “Nat, we need Steve.”  Nat picked up her phone and called while the rest of the women crowded her. “Ok, let’s give her a moment alone,” Wanda said with a smile.  Steve and Bucky came running in.
“Sweet pea?  What’s wrong?”
Wanda approached Ava.  “Bucky, can you take Ava outside please?”  Bucky flushed slightly at the young woman and offered his arm.  He looked back at his best friends as they waited for the room to clear.
“Baby, what’s wrong?” Steve looked at his wife.
“Nothing,” she smiled.  She took his hand and placed it on the side of her belly.
“Love, what…”
“Just a second.”  They waited and then Steve’s eyes widen as Belle felt a kick to her side. He looked down at her belly and then back to her eyes.  “I think your son is saying hello.”
“Oh…” he kneeled before his wife.  “Hello son.  Hey princess.  I’m your dad.”  A tear formed in his eye.  “I love you and your momma so much little ones.”  He stayed there a while, caressing her belly and talking to his children.  They were interrupted when Bucky walked in.
“I’m sorry to interrupt but it’s done.” He looked down.
Steve stood up and held Belle from behind, his hands on her belly.  “Did she say anything?”
“Only professing her love for you and then Hail HYDRA.”
Steve nodded. “Ok, well that’s that.  Come love, you should rest.”
“Ok.”  No emotion crossed Belle’s face.  “Oh Bucky, since you will be attending the gala with us, I’ve asked Ava to be your escort for the evening.”  She watched as Bucky’s ears turned red as he patted the back of his head.
“Oh, yes, well, ok, if you want, I guess I’m ok with that…” he stammered.
Belle giggled.  Steve looked at her curiously before leading her to their room.  He laid her down on her sided and then climbed behind her, holding her to his chest.  “What do you know, sweet pea?”
“I know that Bucky and Ava are crushing on each other,” she smirked.  “And I know that I love you.”
“I love you more my queen.” He kissed her head and smiled.  “What about Clint?”
“He’s bringing Laura.” She looked back at Steve, who had a shocked face.  “I think seeing what we went through, he didn’t want to be away from the love of his life anymore.  I know they divorced because he was an Avenger and thought he was protecting her.  I’m just glad he figured out that he couldn’t live without her.”
“My little matchmaker,” Steve chuckled. “You need to rest love.”
“I’m trying; I’m just so tense.  Carrying your children is tough.”
“Hmm, well maybe something to help you with that.” Steve got a wicked look on his face as he reaches under her sundress and pulled her panties down.  He stroked between her folds. “Already so wet, love,” he whispered in her ear, pressing kisses to her neck.
“Stevie,” she moaned.  He was aware of how sensitive she was so he went gentle and slow. He sank a finger into her and arched her back, her belly sticking out more.
“Easy baby,” Steve held her close, letting her feel how turned on he was. He grasped her chin with his free hand to kiss her softly as he added another finger. She moaned into his lips.
“Stevie, I need more.”
Steve smiled as he eased her onto her back.  He snaked down as pushed her knees up. He kissed between her thighs and gently licked her folds.  She jolted up and Steve chuckled. “Feel good baby?”
“Amore please,” she pleaded. Steve went in, tasting, sucking, drawing out unnatural noises from his wife.  Being pregnant made every touch be like a lightning through her. He could feel her starting to reach her peak.
“Cum for me, my queen. Let me taste you.” With a silent scream, her body spasmed, making her see stars.  Steve coaxed her down before rolling her to her side again and he removed his jeans and boxers.  He got behind her again and lifted a leg, hooking it around his hip, opening her to him from behind.  Steve carefully slid into her heat.  She moaned loudly as Steve peppered her neck and cheek with kisses.  “You feel amazing as ever love.”
“Stevie,” she cried quietly. He was gentle, not wanting to hurt or disturb his children.
“You are a goddess, my love.  So warm and tight. Carrying my children.  You are even more beautiful now than before,” he whispered as he thrusted softly into her. She keened at the praise, placing her hands over his on her hips. She began to tighten again. “That’s my good girl, let go.” He wrapped his arms around her as she came again and he rutted two more times before spilling into her.  He could feel her body relax and she fell asleep with him still inside her.  He didn’t dare move, knowing sleep was hard to find for her now. But he was ok, in his happy place, inside his wife, holding his unborn children.

Out of curiosity, when you say Nat deserves a trilogy (she totally does) what do you think it should be about?
Also what are your hopes for Wanda, Bucky & Yelena?
Alright, so, before I give my opinion on this I gotta say that I do enjoy the movie we were given, I watched it like 5 times opening week lol. But I feel like it was too much in one movie, trying to mesh her past, present and Yelenas future all in one go. So here's what I think we should have gotten, and she deserved:
Movie 1: a flashback origin movie all about the Red Room, Nat and Yelenas past in Ohio, the Budapest mission with Clint, Nat thinking she took Dreykov down and her being brought to SHIELD
Movie 2: pretty much what we got, minus the Ohio mission part. Maybe add in a bit more bonding time between her and Yelena to fill that gap. And make the part at the end with blonde Nat the end credit scene instead
Potential series: what she, Steve and Sam were up to in the gap between Civil War and Infinity War. What did they do? Where did they go?
Movie 3: Nat leading the Avengers during the 5 years post blip. Her search for Clint, her search for Yelena, her search for answers. Doing ballet like the shoes on the chair in the one Endgame scene hinted at. I want to see her leadership skills in play. Original BW movie end credit scene
My character hopes below:
For Wanda is that that was it for her. I don't truly want her to be gone, but Lizzie is clearly tired of the role and frustrated with how her character was treated in MoM due to nobody watching WandaVision. But if she is alive, I'd like to see some redemption cuz it's what Lizzie wants I think.
For Bucky, I just want him to live through Thunderbolts at the moment lmao
And Yelena, I truly want her to continue to embrace the whole highly trained killer vibe she had in Hawkeye while also living up to Natashas heroics. It's important for her to be similar, but not exact. They were raised in the same conditions, but they aren't the same person. Yelena is a continuation of Nats legacy, not a replacement. They've been doing good with that, I just want it to continue

I feel like if you only watched certain films and shows of Phase Four and Phase Five, these would bring great closure to the MCU overall and tie up all of Endgame’s remaining loose threads, and there wouldn’t have to be any more.
Like, if Endgame wasn’t enough and you just had to know what happened to those who were left hanging, but still wanted a firm end point of the series, you could get it.
If you watch these after Endgame in this order (minus all post-credits scenes except the reveal scene in Far From Home and all the ones from Vol. 3), it is a pretty good final conclusion to the MCU:
Black Widow (Nat’s backstory and Yelena’s search for Clint are established)
WandaVision (wraps up Wanda’s story, as she is last seen going into exile to find self-healing - and she does NOT take the Darkhold with her and her character arc is intact)
TFATWS (wraps up Sam and Bucky’s stories, Steve’s legacy is carried on)
Far From Home (continues Peter’s story)
No Way Home (wraps up the stories of all 3 live-action cinematic Spider-Men)
Hawkeye (wraps up Clint’s story, Yelena gets her closure, Kate will continue Clint’s legacy, Kingpin is dead period)
Thor: L&T (terrible film, yes, but effectively wraps up Thor and Jane’s story)
GOTG Holiday Special (establishes Quill and Mantis’ relationship)
GOTG Vol. 3 (wraps up all the Guardians’ stories)
And finally, the very last entry of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe would end it all on a high note and wrap up the last loose threads regarding timelines:
Loki seasons 1 and 2, back-to-back

Comics read this past week:
Marvel Comics:
Marvel: Heroes & Legends (1997) #1
This issue was published in September 1997. It was written by James Felder. There were 15 pages penciled by Sal Buscema and inked by Al Milgrom, 13 pages drawn by Dick Ayers, 10 pages penciled by Steve Ditko and inked by Steve Leialoha, and 11 pages penciled by Gil Kane and inked by Tom Palmer. All were colored by Chi Wang.
This issue revisits the events of The Avengers (1963) #16, which was published in March 1965. That issue was originally just credited as written by Stan Lee, but The Official Marvel Index to the Avengers (1994) #1 credited Jack Kirby as a co-plotter. The layouts were drawn by Jack Kirby, which were finished by Dick Ayers (though the Grand Comics Database says that Carl Hubbell may have made some alterations). It was 20 pages.
In that story the concept of some people leaving the Avengers was first raised when Janet said, “Why don’t all of us take a leave of absence? Everybody deserves a vacation sometime! I-I’d like to lead a normal life for a while- just like anybody else! I’m tired of all this fighting- this constant danger and turmoil!” Hank responded, “I’m a fool, honey! I never thought how tough it must be for you!” And Tony said, “For all of us, Giant-Man! Even I wish it would end some day!”
In this story, before anyone else suggests anything, Tony says to himself, “Come to think of it- the proud and noble Sub-Mariner might be a great addition to the mighty Avengers! Or, a great replacement- for the years have taken their toll on me! What’s happening to me? Why do I keep thinking of abandoning the Avengers? No! I’d never abandon them! I just need a break- a rest- time to get my life together! I’ve still got my company to run… thousands of employees depending on me! I can’t ever let them down!”
There’s also a scene in this issue where Clint, still a wanted criminal, rushes an injured Natasha to the hospital, then thinks when he hears that the Avengers may have to disband entirely because so many members are leaving, “If America’s mightiest team is having problems- Hawkeye and the Black Widow might just be the answer!” I think this is actually a great concept, a solid way to bridge the gap in the differences in their portrayals in The Avengers (1963) #16 and when we had last previously seen them, in the Iron Man story in Tales of Suspense (1959) #64.
In the Iron Man story Natasha’s parents were threatened by someone who was implied to be Nikita Khrushchev, unless she finally completed her mission to destroy Iron Man. Clint didn’t want to betray the U.S., but he loved Natasha and wanted to help her, so he accepted that destroying just Iron Man wasn’t really betraying the country. In the battle Natasha was injured, and Clint abandoned fighting Iron Man to help her, even though she argued with him, saying, “No! No! Go back.. finish him off… Go back!!” And then, “You fool! You had your chance… now it’s too late! Because of your love… I’ve failed again!!”
In The Avengers (1963) #16 Clint explains to the Avengers that Natasha was injured, but not in the fight with Iron Man, which seemingly happened a while ago, but that “just one week ago, they made her pay the price for trying to desert her red masters!” And Clint claims he didn’t go with Natasha to the hospital, “She was still alive when they took her away! I didn’t try to learn what happened after that! I- I was afraid to find out!” This is opposed to him sneaking into Natasha’s hospital room so that he can be with her even though he’s a wanted criminal, as Clint does in this issue.
And in that telling in The Avengers (1963) #16 Clint vowed to the unconscious Natasha, “I’ll make up for what we’ve done! I’ll devote my life to making amends!” But I think it makes more sense for Clint to want Natasha to be with him and to also be doing good with the Avengers. When Natasha next appeared, in The Avengers (1963) #29, she’d been brainwashed into serving the Soviet Union, with them presumably having giving up on her succeeding in her missions otherwise. Clint was still in love with her, and once she broke free from the brainwashing, he was pretty determined in trying to get the other Avengers to let her join the team.
Before they reunited in the Iron Man story in Tales of Suspense (1959) #64, Clint had assumed, of Natasha being forcibly taken back to Russia at the end of their preceding appearance in Tales of Suspense (1959) #60, that she had “deserted” him. Possibly the version of Clint in this issue will assume that she willingly left the hospital while he went to join the Avengers because she was angry with him over him failing to destroy Iron Man, and maybe she even did before she was recaptured by agents of the Soviet Union. Also, that Clint had willfully deserted Natasha in the original version of him joining the Avengers reads strangely with that he was later wistful about her before he found out she’d been brainwashed and was a villain.
Also, as Pietro and Wanda are on their way to New York, Pietro complains when he learns that they’ll have to wear their costumes and be seen by the press when they arrive, saying, “We are not circus performers!” Wanda tells him, “You protest too much, Pietro! In America, we must do as the Americans do. I shall be proud to wear my costume! Remember, my brother- no matter how crass and commercial the Americans may seem… they still offer the greatest gift of all- the gift of freedom!”
And the Teen Brigade gets upset when Rick isn’t announced as one of the new Avengers. One member says, “We ought’a picket the Avengers!” Another agrees, “Yeah, right! They’re unfair to teenagers!” This reminded me of Young Justice: Sins of Youth (2000) #1 when the team complained about media hysteria around teenage superheroes.
Timely Publications:
the Captain America stories in Captain America Comics (1941) #25
These 2 stories were published in an issue cover dated April 1943. They were 17 and 21 pages.
In the story “Captain America: The Murdering Mummy and the Laughing Sphinx” (writer unknown; penciled by Carmine Infantino; possibly inked by Vince Alascia) in Captain America Comics #25 as Bucky is leaving a library, where he was looking for information for a case, a passerby says, “Hi, Bucky! Haven’t seen you for ages!” Bucky says, “Hello, Red! Still studying archaeology?” And the red-headed young man says, “Sure- under Prof. Jameson, a famous master! He just returned from Egypt where he made an important discovery about an ancient tomb of some evil demon- Modebl.” It’s been a while since we’ve seen Bucky have friends closer to his own age outside of the military base. I wonder how he met this college student.
In the course of their investigation, Steve and Bucky find a vial with a note that reads, “If you would penetrate the veil. Think well of what you seek, and quaff deep the sacred lotion!” Bucky is worried and doesn’t want him to do it, but Steve says, “Keep your courage, kid! This may be the solution to the whole mystery! Those ancient peoples did things with mind and matter that our modern scientists could only guess at!” Steve ends up having a vision where a demon tells him, “There is but one return for you- to carry the curse of the mummy- and to spread it! That, I, Modebl, may rule!” When Steve refuses, the demon says, “Then you shall die and your soul will sign!” Steve says afterwards, “If I had swallowed that stuff from the vial, instead of sipping it, it would have [gone crazy]- that’s concentrated opium! A couple of drops of that would eat away your whole brain!”
DC Comics:
Batman: Harley Quinn (1999) #1
This issue was published in August 1999. It was written by Paul Dini, penciled by Yvel Guichet, inked by Aaron Sowd, and colored by Richard Horie and Tanya Horie. It was 48 pages.
This issue is actually Harley’s first appearance in a comic book. She first appeared in the Batman: The Animated Series episode “Joker’s Favor,” which first aired in September 1992.
the Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy story in Batman: Gotham Knights (2000) #14
This story was titled “The Bet” and was in an issue published in February 2001. It was written by Paul Dini, drawn by Ronnie Del Carmen, and colored by Zylonol. It was 8 pages.
I really did not care for how Poison Ivy in particular was characterized in this story.
the Harley Quinn story in Batman: Gotham Knights (2000) #30
This story was titled “Punchline” and was in an issue published in June 2002. It was written by Doug Alexander, drawn by Rob Haynes, and colored by David Self. It was 8 pages.
Detective Comics (1937) #831
This issue was published in April 2007. It was written by Paul Dini, penciled by Don Kramer, inked by Wayne Faucher, and colored by John Kalisz. It was 22 pages.
Detective Comics (1937) #837
This issue was published in October 2007. It was written by Paul Dini, penciled by Don Kramer, inked by Wayne Faucher, and colored by John Kalisz. It was 22 pages.
In this story Harley is working as the assistant director of the Metropolis branch of the Athenian Women’s Help Shelters, which men aren’t allowed inside of. She explains, “I thought I might put my psychiatry degree to good use. Maybe find a charity clinic someplace run by indiscriminating types who didn’t check backgrounds too closely.” The organization has a mission of “peace and tolerance.” The women all wear Ancient Greece-style clothing and are taught things like, “The Amazon way is the way of the Goddess. The Goddess is peace. The Goddess is power. Hail, wise Athena, from whom all blessings…” And “the spa’s water comes from a magic fountain on Paradise Island. It bestows healing, strength, and stamina.” At the end of the issue it’s revealed that the woman running the shelter is actually a villain, but that’s not resolved within this story.
This made me think of how Diana was depicted working as an ambassador in Greg Rucka’s Wonder Woman run, which I liked.
The plot is that Bruce Wayne hires Edward Nygma, retired from being a criminal as the Riddler and now trying to make it work as a private detective, to find a Wayne Enterprises employee who ran off with a confidential experimental serum. Edward needs Harleen’s help to do the job because the employee is hiding out at the shelter. At the end of the story Tim says to Bruce, “Admit it, you’re angry he succeeded.” Bruce responds, “I’m not angry.” And Tim says, “You’re always kind of angry. And now that the Riddler has come through, you’re downright irate.” Bruce explains that he was only trying to see if Edward would also be able to find the serum, and that from there “There was little doubt. Riddler knew the fee he’d collect from Wayne was more than he’d get trying to fence the serum,” so it’s not that he trusts Edward now, but that “the more content the rat, the less likely he’ll leave his hole.”
I like this characterization for Bruce- kind of a jerk, and not exactly jumping for joy or optimistic about one of his enemies reforming, but also at least able to have this conversation with Tim without directing his anger at Tim.
Joker’s Asylum II: Harley Quinn (2010) #1
This issue was published in June 2010. It was written by James Patrick, drawn by Joe Quinones, and colored by Alex Sinclair. It was 22 pages.
I particularly liked Harley’s voice in this story. And Joe Quinones is a well-matched artist for her.
the Harley Quinn story in Batman Black and White (2013) #1
This story was titled “Justice is Served” and was in an issue published in September 2013. It was written by Maris Wicks and drawn (and later colored) by Joe Quinones. It was 8 pages.
the Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy story in Batman Black and White (2013) #3
This story was titled “Role Models” and was in an issue published in November 2013. It was written by Paul Dini and drawn by Stéphane Roux. It was 8 pages.
the Harley Quinn story in Legends of Dark Knight 100-Page Super Spectacular (2014) #1
This story was titled “Dr. Quinzel’s Diagnosis” and was in an issue published in December 2013. It was written by Jim Zub, drawn by Neil Googe, and colored by Kathryn Layno. It was 20 pages.
Detective Comics (2011) #23.2
This issue was published in September 2013. It was written by Matt Kindt, drawn by Neil Googe, and colored by Will Quintana. It was 20 pages.
Neil Googe’s art worked a lot better for me in this story than in “Dr. Quinzel’s Diagnosis.”
the story “Head Games” in Batman Black and White (2013) #1
This story was in an issue published in September 2013. It was written by Howard Mackie and drawn by Chris Samnee. It was 8 pages.
This story was on my radar because I was really impressed with Howard Mackie’s writing in Ghost Rider/Captain America: Fear (1992) and wanted to try out some of his other work, but I’m not interested in reading Ghost Rider comics right now. I enjoyed his writing again here.
Interestingly, it’s noted that this is Chris Samnee’s first official Batman story. He’s associated with the character online because of the popular drawings he does every October for the self-imposed challenge Batober. But this story was the only time he had drawn interior pages for a published Batman comic before Batman & Robin: Year One (2024) #1 came out in October 2024.
the story “The Wilt” in Batman 80-Page Giant 2010 (2011) #1
This story was in an issue published in December 2010. It was written by Simon Spurrier, drawn by Chris Samnee, and colored by John Kalisz. It was 9 pages.
For completionism’s sake I thought I’d read Chris Samnee’s one other official Batman-related story. This is a Poison Ivy story that neither Batman or Bruce Wayne appears in.
I found the way this story was written very compelling. If there are more Poison Ivy comics like this then I would be interested in getting into the character.
Fawcett Comics:
the Captain Marvel stories in Whiz Comics (1940) #102 and Captain Marvel Adventures (1941) #89 and The Marvel Family (1945) #28
These 7 stories were published in issues cover dated October 1948. They were 7 to 9 pages.
The story “The Marvel Family in Captain Marvel’s Dilemma” (written by Bill Woolfolk; drawn by Kurt Schaffenberger) in The Marvel Family #28 has Sivana be inspired by watching a play called “Road to Madness,” with him saying, “What a wonderful idea! Her husband makes her think she’s crazy, so he’ll be free to find the hidden jewels that are hidden in the house! Why can’t I use the same methods against that big red cheese- Captain Marvel? Heh-heh! I’ll do it!” This is obviously based on the story of the 1938 play “Gas Light,” which was adapted into a movie in the U.S. in 1944.
The story “Captain Marvel Faces Fear” (written by Bill Woolfolk; penciled by C.C. Beck; inked by Pete Constanza) in Captain Marvel Adventures #89 is another story about atomic energy. In it an atomic engine is ditched by a delivery boy who thought it was an atomic bomb. Though Captain Marvel tries to explain, “It’s an atomic engine that’s missing! It merely employs the principle of atomic energy without any of the harmful effects! You’re perfectly safe,” the people still panic, believing there to be a dangerous bomb somewhere in their city. The villain of the story is the personification of fear. At the end, as Captain Marvel is fighting him, Fear says, “Since the beginning of time I have existed only in the minds of people who have not known the truth! For those you know the truth… I don’t exist at all!” And he vanishes into thin air. And then Billy interviews the inventor of the atomic engine on his radio show, and the scientist says, “my invention was perfectly harmless all the time! The panic came from fear, and fear thrives on ignorance! When men learn the facts, unreasoning fear and all its terrors disappear forever.”
In the story “Captain Marvel Fights Silent Sound” (written by Otto Binder; penciled by C.C. Beck; inked by Pete Constanza) in Captain Marvel Adventures #89 after Sivana declares on the radio that he’s going to set Station Whiz on fire, does so, and then successfully escapes, the narration says, “The next day Billy spends all his spare time at the Whiz listening post.” The last time I can remember Billy spending his spare time listening to radio transmissions was back during WWII.

"Jesus."

Summary: -
“What’s flyting?”
“Tis a form of verbal battle performed in the courts of Asgard, where opponents trade insults in verse.” Thor explains.
“Offensive poetry?” Tony clarifies, because that sounds awesome.
Thor nods. “Loki was by far the best skilled at it – it was not for nothing he came to be known as Silvertongue. He ceased competing in official matches after a time though. He deemed there were none on Asgard who could claim to be a worthy match for his attentions.” Thor levels a thoughtful look towards Tony at this.
“So, you’re saying that Tony derailed the fight because Loki enjoys it when they’re insulting each other?” Clint says slowly.
Thor gives a rather helpless shrug. “Loki has always enjoyed flyting.”

“That wasn’t—” Bucky croaked, but Sam wasn’t having it.
He huffed a low laugh, and bulldozed right through Bucky’s feeble pretense. “You like it when I pin you against the wall? Take away all that power you have, that strength that your arm gives you? Make you feel small, maybe?”

Summary: Agent Lewis is sent to collect Captain Rogers from the wilds of Alaska. A snowstorm is brewing and Darcy's ride abandons them to the elements... or a tiny log cabin. She's pretty sure she watched that movie. It didn't end well.

MCU (Magic Corner) Multiverse Saga Predictions
I am just a lone MCU ScarletVision fanfic writer who has made a funny volume of accidentally corroborated predictions, so here's a running list for posterity. (I don't want all of these to happen; it's based on where I think writers are foreshadowing things going.)
Wanda confirmed alive/mentioned in a post-credit scene of Loki or the Marvels.
Agatha: Coven of Chaos delayed to 2024/2025 because they want it to be closer to DS3, so that they can reveal that Agatha got the Darkhold from Sinister Strange.
Sinister Strange gave Agatha the Darkhold with the intention of getting it to Wanda so that she'd either destroy it or kill 616 Strange.
Sinister Strange knows Wanda would be severely hurt and/or die if she read the Darkhold, but he does it anyway with the "in the grand calculus of the multiverse" quote.
616 Strange did actually get corrupted by the Darkhold, which makes him one of the Strange variants "destined" to destroy the multiverse.
Kang is pro-Wanda and saved her from dying on Wundagore.
Wanda and Agatha formally become a little morally ambiguous duo at the end of Coven of Chaos, possibly with Billy.
Wanda wants to find Tommy and begrudgingly decides to look for Vision, too, because the 'twins deserve to know their father' but she's mad at him because seriously why did he go on a self-discovery journey for a YEAR after they lost their kids...?
Hex!Billy and Tommy were physical embodiments of cosmic entities who sought new "hosts" when the Hex ended, choosing children who'd get to cross paths with Wanda and Vision. (Kinda similar to Love from T:L&T. Less complicated than reincarnation.)
Vision Quest is unfortunately not as dark as it could be, and Wanda mostly makes flashback appearances for more "stolen moments" heartbreak.
Wanda shows up in real-time at the end of Vision Quest and he apologizes but she rejects it for the added drama.
White Vision identifies all the Young Avengers in Vision Quest and introduces many of them, but the team doesn't form until later.
The Young Avengers formally become a team in Kang Dynasty, when a mysterious young Kang variant shows up to tell them that the 616 heroes are actually helping a destined supervillain who Kang Prime is trying to stop, so they need to defect from the Avengers.
The YA team is who brings Wanda in knowing that she'll believe them about the Avengers having a future supervillain. She joins forces with them and the team is initially seen as antagonists from the Avengers POV, especially due to affiliation with Wanda.
616 heroes splinter over whether or not to trust YA team. Monica, Carol, and Sam side with YA team. Inexplicably, Spider-Man does not.
KD subplot: the YA team does Darcy-style live commentary of "oh my god just KISS ALREADY" trying to get Wanda and Vision back together.
Scott and Clint die in Kang Dynasty.
Plot twist at the end of Kang Dynasty is that the YA team + ScarVis are right and Sinister Strange is actually a huge threat. Everyone turns to 616 Strange, whose hands are black before the movie cuts.
DS3 ties all the Strange lore together but leaves it ambiguous as to whether or not 616 Strange is "doomed." Sets up Clea to be the next 616 Sorcerer Supreme.
Secret Wars features a fight about whether or not to just preemptively kill 616 Strange like the Illuminati did in 838. Most people are on board but Wanda comes forward to say she refuses to treat a good man like he's expendable just because of the Darkhold. Everyone stares awkwardly.
Kang actually builds Battleworld in Secret Wars to save people from Strange, who's been destroying universes with no actual plan, whereas Kang wants to rule them all.
Scarlet Witch vs. Sinister Strange rematch in Secret Wars.
Kang wants Wanda's help with something and offers her time with her kids. She says no, which is a "turning point" in her redemption for the other heroes.
Main fight in Secret Wars is deciding between order and chaos, basically. This doesn't focus extensively on Wanda, who is pretty firmly against both destruction and time fascism.
Before the big battle, Wanda and Vision finally admit they're still in love "just in case."
Wanda and Loki chaos teamup.
Monica has a cross between Wanda's and Carol's Endgame roles where she basically saves everybody's asses and establishes herself as the most powerful, but isn't the thematic core of the movie.
Wanda (and maybe Billy, America, and Franklin Richards) has to "destroy the world" (Battleworld) and essentially restart the multiverse. Prophecy fulfilled.
X-Men don't exist in 616, but Wanda finds out about Magneto in Secret Wars and ends up bringing the X-Men into the main continuity from another timeline as a "reverse" House of M and speedrunning the "redeemer" arc. (Mutants were still an oppressed class in the other timeline.)
838 Maria Rambeau lives and 838 Monica Rambeau died pre-DS2, so 838 Maria and 616 Monica are reunited. (Please let Monica be furious at Wanda. I know they're unlikely to go this route but JESUS.)
Wanda tells Strange that his destiny isn't sealed, but someone has to stay behind to close Battleworld and Wanda's going to do it ("I fucked up, I should be the one to sacrifice" vibes) but Strange stops her and sacrifices himself instead (sad).
Strange and Thor die in Secret Wars. Maybe Carol. Sorry.
Vision doesn't die (SHOCKING) and they go home together :')
Sometime at the end of Secret Wars, someone tells Wanda that even though the timeline and prophecy fuckery was caused by Kang and Strange, Chthon IS real and DOES want her.
Post-SW Scarlet Witch movie is an adaptation of Darkhold: Omega. She does not ever get heavily involved with the mutants.
Wishful thinking:
Morgan le Fay (Aubrey Plaza) and Agatha Harkness are ex lovers.
Scarlet Witch movie is actually three witches harmed by the Darkhold (Wanda, Agatha, Morgan) taking back their autonomy from Chthon.
Monica Rambeau trilogy.
Love is actually Tommy's reincarnation and after Thor dies, she chooses to grow up with Wanda and Vision.
Vision is a background character in the Scarlet Witch movie but really only as a sexy house husband.

SUMMARY; I wrote this about a week or so after watching Endgame back in 2019. My idea for what a post credit scene could have looked like.
ENDGAME EPILOGUE
Exterior shot. Day. Sunset. Avengers Compound has been rebuilt following the battle against Thanos’ forces. From the outside it looks exactly like it was before. On the lawn outside stands a row of bronze statues; the fallen Avengers.
Interior. A long hallway, the light of the low afternoon sun beaming all the way down. Two figures step into view, blinking in and out of the sunlight. One is significantly bigger than the other. As they come nearer we see its BRUCE BANNER, still in his SMART HULK form and HAWKEYE. Hulk’s right arm is still withered from the snap, supported by a sling. They’re strolling along at a gentle pace, looking around them.
HULK: If these walls could talk…
CLINT: They’d say “Who’re these guys?”. We were never here that much, Bruce.
HULK: Yeah, I guess you’re right. Things are different now, though.
He looks pointedly down at Clint.
CLINT: No. I’m retired.
Hulk laughs.
CLINT: No, really this time! I mean it! I’m done!
They stop for a moment.
CLINT: I just got them back, Bruce. All our hard work paid off and I got them back. Now all I want is to spend every day I got left as a husband and a father. Someone else can do the Avenging. How about you?
Hulk shoots him a sad smile.
HULK: I did my best in the fight that day, but unfortunately I think this (he raises his damaged arm slightly) is permanent. Looks like my smashing days are behind me.
CLINT: So what will you do?
HULK: Go back to the lab. Work on all the other ways I can contribute to the world. Still, it was nice of them to invite us to look around the Compound. You and me. Even if it is one last time.
CLINT: Yeah, it was. Hawkeye and the Incredible Hulk, the last of the OG Avengers. Tony’s gone, Thors off into space to go find himself, Caps gone…
HULK: Steve.
CLINT: What?
HULK: Steve is gone. Captain America is a different story. I’ll tell you later.
Clint looks at him for a moment. They walk on. They come to a huge watercolour painting. It’s an Alex Ross portrait, depicting the first time the Avengers assembled in 2012. The Battle of New York. They stand for a moment admiring it, looking at their past selves and fallen friends. Both their eyes linger on the image of NATASHA, standing proudly among them.
HULK: That day was…
CLINT: …a day unlike any other.
They look at one another and smile.
CLINT: Hey what do you think they rebuilt this place for, anyway?
HULK: Ah, I don’t know. Probably a museum or something.
VOICE: Don’t worry, Doctor Banner…
The pair turn from the painting. They see T’Challa, the BLACK PANTHER walking towards them. He has a wry, knowing smile on his face.
T’CHALLA: I’m sure we’ll find a use for it.
END.

One of several instances where I get what they were going for, but hate the execution. I like Tony Stark's character in his own movies, but he is shitty in all the team-up movies to various degrees of intolerable. His bit in Endgame about not risking what he's got now when fixing the snap? That's hot bullshit on a stick. So many different ass pulls they could make about the fabric of the universe not being able to take two major traumas back to back. So many ways to rephrase the grandfather paradox that someone analytical like Tony would go for well before trying to claim any moral high ground against Steve.
And I'm not going to touch how Steve basically proves all that wrong with the happy ending he gets (assuming he hopped timelines and didn't just play turtle/ostrich.)
All of that in service of keeping their big plot point... and for what? If they are going to fundamentally fuck the world to create more divergence between our reality and theirs, presumably so we can have less realism and more quirky comic book stuff, even that doesn't make this a good thing. We've got a post-apocalyptic setting now, or should have, but none of Phase 4 plays with that aside from FatWS.
It would have been better if they reversed it all back to the moment of the Snap and shit went weird. Doctor Strange What if...? level weird. Let there be consequences. Let people come back after being gone only a moment, but they aren't quite the same. Want that real feel good we did it moment? Save the reveal of the fuckup for an after credit scene! They say they had plans for Kang, the multiverse, and all that before they wrote this movie - so there you go. Take Tom Hiddleston immediately after filming the time heist scene and shoot him landing somewhere and noticing something offscreen. "Those stupid mortals, playing with things they can't control because they don't understand why their betters would never touch such magic."
Then Bucky can propose to Steve (fine, censors in SA and China, he asks to be exclusive roommates.) When one of the Eternals suggests that Thanos had a point, they get bitchslapped. Someone notices Clint's mug and stages an intervention. Vision is still dead so Wanda still goes off in Jersey, Strange still phones it in with dream suggestions because he's busy processing 14 million lifetimes worth of trauma, and we can still have the main DS:MoM plot of "the book makes her evil, once the book is destroyed she starts coming back to herself" with hopefully 60% less confusingly inconsistent character progression from everybody.
ehhh not to defend endgame but reversing time to before the snappening isn't a perfect answer either. you'd end up erasing a whole lot of children, not just tony's, and would everyone who didn't get snapped remember those five years? would only the avengers remember? would no one? it's an impossible decision to make on behalf of everyone in the entire universe
I would happily make the decision to erase all the new kids. I would happily erase everyone’s memory of those five years. I would happily completely reverse the snap.
bc think about it. billions of ppl disappear. think about how many kids died bc their parents got snapped out of existence & there was no one to care for them. how many ppl died in those five years, and ppl come back from the snap to realize their entire family is gone. how many apartments got ransacked or re rented. how many planes cars and trains crashed bc the driver got snapped. how many jobs were replaced, how many ppl were traumatized and depressed. how much crime rates rose.
imo it’s a simple answer. and only the avengers remember, bc they are the only ones who will ever know what they all sacrificed (those five years) for the common good

So I get that the Disney-FOX deal didn't get through in time for Infinity War, Antman/Wasp, or Endgame, but I was so sad they couldn't do something like this for the end credits of Antman and the Wasp:
Camera cuts to Clint, who's on the porch, talking to Laura; you can see his ankle monitor. She goes inside. There's a slight breeze.
Then the breeze intensifies in a way Clint almost recognizes. A blue and silver blur solidifies at the front of the steps, laughing, despite being kind of a mess.
"What?" Pietro gasps, supporting himself on the baluster. "You didn't see that coming?"
End Scene.

After watching the Black Widow movie I just want 2012 marvel fandom to pick up Yelena and the rest of the crew. I want the entire family to just show up at the tower sometimes and I fucking want the Red Guardian to do an arm wrestle with Steve ok? I want Yelena to have a strange bond with Bucky and they go on trips to get clothes together because neither of them have gotten a choice in their clothes for a long time. I WANT THE PEOPLE WHO STILL WRITE STORIES WHERE EVERYONE LIVES IN THE TOWER AND EVERYTHING IS HAPPY TO PICK UP THE BLACK WIDOW GANG ALRIGHT

⚠ WHAT IF…? 109 SPOILERS ⚠
Alright…
Let's start saying that watching the Lemurian Star mission from CA:TWS with Peggy was so cool. Like, Peggy and Nat was a team up i didn't know I needed.
T'challa saved Peter and his universe. It was obvious he would do that but it's still a relief after the ending of episode 2.
Gamora, surviver of Sakaar, defeater of Thanos (or smth like that). Dude. dUDE!!
“Nobody messes with Vegas” Thor didn't watch the Chargers vs Raiders (🤦🏻‍♀️) and it shows. Yeah, ik, I'm hilarious.
They're the Guardians of the Multiverse. (:
I gotta say that Stranger's spell with the Mjölnir was sick!!
And also, is Peggy worthy? I don't wanna start a discussion but I'm genuinely curious. She touched the Mjölnir and nothing happened so…
Did yOU SEE WANDA ZOMBIE?!??!? AND HER FACE WHEN HER MAGIC DIDN'T DO SHIT TO STOP ULTRON? WHAAAAAAT??
Nat and Peggy are BFF's in Peggy's universe. <3
Now, Strange Supreme is SUPREME. That's all I gotta say.
“Doesn't feel over.” Yeah, T'challa. I also thought it was too easy.
Now, Nat threw the arrow with the Zola virus. “This one's for you, Clint.” I'm sorry if I'm emotional.
Zola to the rescue, yay!
Or not because he's a parasite. *sighs*
Also, wt hell, Erik? I knew I shouldn't have trusted you. Damn Michael B. Jordan and his voice that makes it impossible not to like Killmonger. Xd
They were there to separate the stones from the body, not to win. Stephen's sacrifice was just the best redemption he could get for what he did to his reality.
Nat not wanting to go to her universe and Uatu taking her to one that had lost it's Widow.
+ Nick's “You're not my Natasha, but you have her spirit.” No, I'm not crying. You are.
And that ‼️ post-credit scene ‼️. Nat finding the Hydra Stomper that has someone inside. Peggy got her happy ending after all.

Natasha was not an easy mentor, and Y/N learned that quickly. She was understanding and patient, yes, but she also knew when to push Y/N and went to be a little stricter.
The thing was, Y/N was never completely sure what side she’d get of her mentor at what time - though she found herself not having to worry about it after . . . The Accident.
That disastrous day would go down in the team’s history, yet no one liked to talk about it. It was a day Y/N would never forget: it changed . . . everything.
It was one of the rare days that Y/N wasn’t training with Natasha. She had a meeting with Fury so Steve filled in for her. Y/N was not accustomed to training with a super soldier, and had to quickly adjust (it didn’t make it any easier that he had his shield, too).
She was doing well - at least, she wanted to think that she was - and so far had deflected almost every punch from Steve, managing to get one or two punches against him herself.
Nonetheless, the air was knocked out of her when Steve slammed her against the mat. She grunted, angry only fueling the pain when she saw that stupid smirk on his face, and used that to her advantage; he wouldn’t expect her to recover so quickly (and in truth, neither did she) but she did it anyway, throwing all her weight against the Captain. She secured he legs around his waist like Natasha taught her and, using the strength in her legs and pushing his broad shoulders, just about managed to get herself out from being pinned on the mat. Now, though, they were both sorta sitting on the mat, so Y/N kneed him in the chest, pushing him down.
“You’re good,” he whispered, just slightly out of breath, before he - seemingly without using any strength at all - threw her to the side where she rolled.
Y/N cursed under her breath, getting her feet. It was impossible to win against a super-soldier! Think, Y/N, think, what did Natasha teach you? Cmon!
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Steve grabbing his shield, and got in a stance to either catch it or evade it - she hadn't decided yet - when yells distracted her. In her hyped up, adrenaline-pumped state, the first thing that came to Y/N’s mind was that someone was hurt. She was about to call of the training when a large, solid force smacked into her stomach, sending her flying into the air where she hit the wall, losing consciousness.
Steve's eyes widened, not thinking it’d actually hit her, and jumped into action. “Who the hell screamed?” The blonde yelled as he ran to his fallen teammate. He carefully turned her on her back and looked her over for injuries, seeing bruises and bleeding starting to form on her stomach and ankle and her head bleeding.
Bucky and Sam practically crashed inside the room, trying to beat each other.
“He threatened me!” Sam exclaimed.
“He tried to steal my metal arm!” Bucky defended.
Both men came to a screeching halt when they digested the scene, though. Steve rolled his eyes at his idiotic friends and tried to put pressure on Y/N’s head wound. “Sam, get Bruce, please. Tell him to prepare med - and Bucky, get Natasha. She’ll want to be here,” he ordered, and the men nodded, guilty.
Steve carefully picked Y/N up in his arms and hoisted her into the air, carrying her to med where Bruce and Helen were, Sam explaining the situation to them. Instantly, Helen jumped into action. She instructed Steve to lay Y/N down on one of the med’s beds and then ushered the men out of the room, where she then began grabbing various medical things and assessing Y/N’s injuries, instructing Bruce to hook her up to an IV.
Steve and Sam stood outside, not saying a word to each other, both pacing back and forth. They did not have to be silent for long, though, because pounding footsteps soon approached and the men looked up to see a very furious Natasha with Bucky trailing behind her.
The redhead’s eyes fell onto the closed med doors and huffed, turning back to Steve. “I leave her with you for training one day and she gets hurt?!” She demanded, crossing her arms and glaring at him.
Steve swallowed. “Nat, I-” He began to say, but was cut off.
“What happened?” Natasha asked.
Steve glanced up at her, first irritated when she asked him a question and then interrupted him whilst he was answering, but backed off when he saw the urgency, the nervousness in her eyes; she was scared. Scared that Y/N was really hurt and guilty.
“We were training. I threw my shield at her, expecting her to catch it or duck . . . But Sam and Buck distracted her and it hit her,” he said, not wanting to throw his friends under the bus but also knowing he had to be truthful.
Natasha stood in place, processing the information. She took a breath, and had almost completely calmed down when Bucky decided to open his mouth.
“Y’know, if anything we tested her. What if someone yelled during a mission? Is she gonna get distracted then?” He mumbled, not really meaning it but wanting to spare him and Sam Natasha’s wrath.
Karma’s a bitch, though, because it did the exact opposite.
If you blinked you’d miss it: Natasha swiftly turned and pushed Bucky against the wall, pinning him there with his hands above his hand.
“Don’t you dare start blaming this on Y/N, you hear me?” She said in a low tone, glaring.
Bucky quickly nodded and Natasha released him. When she did, the door opened and Helen appeared.
“She’ll be okay—” Helen began, and Natasha let out a breath of relief, “—but she does need to be off training for at least a month. She has a concussion, broken ankle, and . . . the shield sort of stabbed her in her stomach.”
It took a couple moments for all four to digest this. Steve paled and Natasha’s crossed arms for tighter as she bit her lip. “Can I see her?” She asked.
“She’s still unconscious, but yes,” Helen answered, nodding.
Natasha almost failed to contain the gasp lurching to leave her throat when she saw Y/N, all bandaged up. The spy gulped and sat down beside her, not knowing what else to do other than sit there, and had no clue what she’d say when Y/N woke up because she sure as hell wasn’t leaving her. Thankfully, Natasha had some time to think it out.
Almost a day later and Natasha hadn’t left — Clint had convinced her to go sleep and eat for a couple hours, but that was it — and now, Y/N woke up.
“Ms. Romanoff?” Y/N murmured in a haze of confusion, squinting her eyes to see her mentor curled up in a chair, reading a big book.
Natasha snapped her head up and immediately sat forward, a smile covering her face. “Y/N! You’re awake? How are you feeling? And how many times have I told you to call me ‘Natasha’?”
Y/N blushed but nodded. “I’m fine, probably the painkillers’ doing though . . . How long was I out?” She said.
“Around a day,” Natasha answered.
“Did you . . . Did you stay here?” Y/N asked again, a little smaller this time, playing with her blanket.
“Most of it, yeah,” Natasha murmured, relaxing into the chair.
“Really? You’re-you’re not mad?” Y/N said, eyes wide and jaw dropped in surprised.
Natasha scrunched her face up. “What? No — of course I’m not mad! You’re like my daughter! How could I be—?”
Natasha was cut off by Y/N’s loud, yet thankful gasp. The teenager sat up and wrapped her arms around Natasha and, after a moment, Natasha smiled and wrapped her arms around her too.
Y/N truly was like her daughter, and mothers were always protective over their children.

MCU Opinions That’ll Have Me Burned At The Stake Pt. 1
(Because it actually worked out really well when I did this for Supernatural. BE WARNED: This is largely Loki-centric.)
1.) I feel like most of the movies/shows released in the last 5 or so years have been heavily geared toward casual fans. And I guess there’s nothing wrong with that! But for me it’s annoying as hell.
2.) I hate the MCU version of Wanda Maximoff so fucking much for many many different reasons.
3.) I have a very strong dislike for the MCU version of Steve Rogers for multiple reasons, mostly because of the level of American imperialist propaganda coded into his character.
4.) The movies’ version of Tony Stark is an objectively better person than Steve, and at this point I’m not even sure if Marvel made the billionaire the Big Hero intentionally as capitalist propaganda or if they just don’t see the irony.
5.) Nebula and Mantis are both way way underrated. They have such interesting backstories and are so sympathetic and likeable and it’s frankly a crime that there aren’t more people stanning for them.
6.) Thanos wasn’t as ground-breakingly complex and multi-layered as the critics and dudebros like to claim. All of his “emotional” scenes could arguably have been genuine in an extremely narcissistic and delusional way, but they’re diminished by the fact that there were a lot of villains prior to him that were much more psychologically complex and actually sympathetic to boot (which… he wasn’t).
7.) Thanos’s plan also made no sense at all, considering he claimed to seek balance in a twisted sense of duty- but said plan actually screwed everyone over worse and made resources issues even more detrimental. They should’ve just made him a full on genocidal psychopath or had him trying to court Hela. One of the two. I honestly think this was just the writers being short-sighted and lazy.
8.) Every version of Thor (and all his supporting characters as well) post-Age of Ultron is absolute trash. He’s a joke, he has zero emotional depth, he’s thematically shallow, he’s boring, he’s embarrassingly out of character…. Just, ugh.
9.) I hate Sylvie. Not just her relationship with Loki, I literally hate that her character even exists.
10.) Natasha deserved so much better than being reduced to a love interest in AoU. It wasn’t cute, it didn’t make sense at all, it wasn’t good for the story. She shouldn’t have had a romance subplot at all.
11.) I actually really liked Clint having a family and a farm. I think it really suited his character and added a little bit more depth to him.
12.) Team Tony made a couple mistakes in Civil War, but they were more or less in the right. And Team Cap was almost all the way in the wrong.
13.) Iron Man 2 wasn’t even that bad.
14.) Iron Man 3 is one of my favourite mcu films, everybody else simply lacks Taste.
15.) Sam deserves the shield way more than Steve, but I’m conflicted cause I don’t want him to be the symbol of pro-American propaganda :/.
16.) Bucky and Sarah are cute as hell together.
17.) Doctor Strange deserves way more credit and adoration, I mean mans puts up with some SHIT I tell you.
18.) Either Wanda is the most powerful sorcerer in the mcu and a total heartless piece of shit OR she’s a sympathetic victim possessed by the Darkhold to do awful things and isn’t really that powerful at all. You can’t have it both ways.
19.) Loki is ridiculously sympathetic and gets the shit end of the stick almost 100% of the time, but I’m pretty sure he agreed to work with Thanos of his own free will, before the sceptre had any influence on him. (Make no mistake, he was definitely mind controlled and tortured at some point afterwards, and that should be acknowledged, but like….. he’s not ENTIRELY without blame here, let’s be real. I think he got himself into a mess and then just couldn’t get out).
20.) Frigga is just as bad as Odin, let’s not kid ourselves. I actually can’t stand her.
21.) Thor never actually changed his bigoted war-mongering superiority-based mindset. He just decided that he likes humans, so they’re exempt from it.
22..) Harley Keener deserved to have just as big a role as Peter in Tony’s life.
23.) I don’t mind Vision, I think he’s a pleasant character. But his relationship with Wanda is the most mind-numbingly boring shit I’ve ever seen my GOD.
24.) Bruce was one of my favourite characters, specifically for his calm confidence. That all went out the window in Ragnarok. Ruined his character too.
25.) Taneleer Ativan, En Dwi Gast, etc (Celestials) should’ve been way more powerful than they were.
26.) Rocket is my favourite member of the Guardians. Peter Quill is boring and annoying and Gamora is more sympathetic but still not very interesting.
27.) There should’ve been less action and more time for them to all live in the avengers compound together like 2012 fanfic 2.0. I like the scenes that are fairly calm where they’re all interacting with each other as a group more than the fight scenes.
28.) LGBT representation in the mcu has been pathetic thus far, but I guess it’s like that in everything so..
29.) Ultron was a superb villain but everyone seems to think he’s mediocre. (Top 3 best mcu villains: 3-Ultron 2-Killmonger 1-Loki. Yes, Loki was a legit villain at one point, don’t @ me.)
30.) It’s the biggest crime in cinematic history that Loki never got to come full circle and fight side by side with the avengers. He literally didn’t even interact with them ever again after the invasion (except Bruce) and that’s just tragic. They were setting his storyline up for that! It was the perfect progression. But noooo.
